It does need to be pretty small, and not too much on insurance.

No the previous shape. The 100 is quite rare though. Usual problems with them are immobiliser faults and injectors. Injectors seem to be costly and see loads on ebay.

Dont look at any of the VAG 1.4 TDI range (older ones anyway) as I do believe these were 3 pot diesels and are shit.

Any Mk5 golf variant. Dont get a Fabia they are just plain disgusting inside and to drive. They feel so dated now.

I beg to differ. Especially compared to a Golf!

Well after looking at a few VRS's as a stop gap car after my car was stolen I found they were dated and not even that nice to drive.

Also having owned most VAGs (Ibizas, Golfs, A3s etc I also beg to disagree. You are insane if you think a Fabia is anywhere as nice as a Mk5 Golf even in basic S form.

Did you own one at all? I find my Fabia far from boring to drive and in no way really dated.

Sorry but Golfs are boring.

She doesn't like Skoda's. I might see how she finds a Golf. But some good ideas, won't mind a Fiesta.
