i have a corsa with a v6 in it. i have recently changed the engine due to head problems.

ive put everything back in now and have gone to start it and as soon as i take the jump leads off the car has absolute fit. the wipers go mad and all the dash board lights come on and then it dies about 5 seconds after.

at first i thought it could of been down to the starting loom shorting out somewhere so ive removed it taped it all up and re fitted but i still get the same problem.

i am using all the old sensors. engine loom, starting loom and starter motor from my old engine as i no they all work. the only thing that is different from this engine and the last one is the alternator.

im really stuck with this one and any help or ideas would be great

Have you missed an earth off when refitting somewhere?
