Anybody who isn't on Quidco, sign up... Most of you probably are already.
For anybody who doesn't know what it is, you register your debit/credit cards and you'll get cash back on purchases you make.
I've had £500 back for stuff I was going to buy anyway in the last 8-12 months. Just had another email saying they've paid something into my account.
http://www.quidco.com/user/2331586/ - Use the link and it'll give you a fiver too. Think it gives me £2.50.

I'm not signed up. Only thing I worry about stuff like this is they hold your card information.

What is actually says is,
"For every new member who joins Quidco and earns £5 cashback, we'll give you £2.50. There are two ways to refer your friends, Refer Quidco or Recommend an offer."

I've had about £300 back from Quidco over about 5 years now - but haven't used it in ages now, just keep forgetting.

Your spending far too much to get £1.3k back!
Think I average about £200 a year but always forget to use it!

Are the cashback amounts people have on top of already getting the absolute best deal for whatever product or is it going with certain people to then get cashback?

Quidco totals the cashback paid to you, it adds up quick even if its only a couple of quid here or there. Had £500 from them myself
It personal preference, but personally I dont rely on quidco to get a bargain if there's something else almost as good without the hassle of a large cashback claim. Chances are that option is on quidco too with a more modest cashback amount.

How does it work then? Do you have to go through the site to the shop you want to buy something?

I usually just search through quidco on a purchase i'm about to make, just to click the link so it tracks faster.
Basically deano, you add your card details and they'll give cashback 1%-20% back on purchases from certain retailers. Its money for nothing.

You may prefer Topcashback. They do the same thing, only theres no £5 annual fee and they pay money into your paypal if you prefer

That's a valid point, sometimes I've caught myself almost going with a quidco retailer for the sake of the cashback - but there are plenty of occasions in which you can grab the cheapest prices AND some cashback.

Seems like effort to me. Amount of times i've seen people on here saying 'something hasn't tracked' etc.

Does this even work for the high street? If so, MAGIC.
