ive seen a few 1.4 sri 16v in autotrader on M plates.

i thought the 16v come out in 95 N not M?

also are these sri 16v called sports?

right so these M reg sri 16v's are exactly what they say and not sports.

not all sri's are 16v though are they?

whats the difference performance wise between the 8v and the 16v sri's?

technically there 1.4 si's

i have m reg 1.4 16v corsa - vaux even put same engine in 5 door si's.

16v is better engine and will see better performance up in higher revs - thats only diff!

ah rite. ive noticed that on sri's that they have sri on the sides but on the back it just has si.

its coz im thinking of getting a sri i was just wondering whats the difference betwwen them.

what things should i look out for when seeing them?

there edzact same spec as a sri as well

just look out for rust in usual places, sills, boot floor and engine bay. there shouldnt be too much rust at all and if there is walk away. check for good cold start. replacement of timing belts and ALL components history is vital - if not itll be expensive for you to replace it(£250 all in from garage for job). check wiring loom isnt too close to bonnet hinge (mine short circuited)

service history and MOT's did it fail? on what??

then check car runs fine and brakes are good - the 16v ones will have abs so make sure it works and brake bias valve is in good nick(ie brakes dont scare you to death lol).

si's have airbag as well and pas but dont have electric windows or sunroof! (well i aint seen 16v sri with one)

good cars - just a basic sport though

my sri 16v doesnt have pas , does have a air bag though , and ur right about no elecy windows or sunroof.

my 16v SRi has:-

Airbag
PAS
Electric Windows
Sunroof
ABS....

the lot so some of them do have it m8. Its a May 1995 M reg btw
