Just wanted to pick an experienced brain.

Are there any site out there (IT in particular) which allow employees to create profiles (with CV's).

I know there are sites out there where you can upload CV's but i'm talking about a proper profile when people would select skills and experience from a pre defined list.

Allowing employers/recruiters to access the site and create a search based on criteria for a role and the most appropriate candidates be returned. (i.e. skills match, experience, salary, location?)

Not sure about IT specific ones as I deal in Oil & Gas but Monster has something like that I think!

Best bet is to contact your local Hays or Reed who are two big agencies in the UK

Thanks Stuart, I was actually looking from a development point of view.

I don't have any experience in the recruitment industry so was keen to understand whether there were any companies doing this.

When i had a quick look around the big sites there didn't seen to be any sites offering a full customise searches based on low level details.

I'll have a look into some of the sites mentioned

LinkedIn sort of has the feature in the sense people get endorsed for certain skills.

If you've got a premium account you can probably search by skills.
