I have an old account that's been in default since 2010 I've only just remembered as it shows up on Noddle but not CreditExpert.

What should I do with it? Am i right in saying that even if i pay it off i'll still have a default showing till 2016? So i'm fucked either way?

A friend of mine got a CCJ against him removed from his file after a solicitor filed against him when his legal aid wasn't paid to the solicitor in light of his pursuit of access to his kid. But involved him having to go to the magistrates court with a letter from them etc but would suggest its possible.

Having said that if it didn't show up on Experian, would it show up when companies search for it?

Shows up on Credit Expert now. Noticed it was at an address i hadnt listed on CE (address changed name and i only put one of the names in not thinkning)

Well after reading vrs's link, i dont think i'll be paying it off it i'll still get bummed for a default anyway, no point in wasting the money.

Well, technically the debt dosent but it can't show on your report any more.

Tbh, i'd have paid them if they'd attempted to collect the debt.
