Even if he doesn't play many games he must be a massive influence off the pitch. To still be playing at the top level for all these years is just incredible IMO!

Great news.
Just want to throw this out there. Genuine question.
Does this say something about the current united squad, when they will have a 40 year old playing for them???

Not really. It says giggs is the ultimate professional. It's not like he's struggling.

I see what your saying but he still performs at the highest level so he is a very useful squad player. He scores now and then and sets up goals.
I'd say he's a better squad player than most other squads have in their ranks too And he wants to win!

With the hunger and desire he still has, his age isn't really important. As his pace faded away, he completely changed his game and the way he's adapted to new roles is tremendous tbh. Hope he still gets a fair amount of games and beats Maldini's record.

I'd think even Barnes would have a nice comment about Giggs.
Not much to say that's not been said here really, ultimate professional, and something we'll never see again.

Epic
Says a lot about utd. Makes Chelsea look even more silly with lamps contract situation.

His greatest achievement was adapting.
I can't think of many players that have been known so distinctively as a set thing i.e. a flying winger to then alter their style as their physical attibutes deteriorate to something entirely different.
He'll go down as one of the greats.
