Cars in the garage getting fixed so I've transferred the insurance to my other car to drive while its there, question is I take it it's fully covered while at the garage by them, they have moved it from one site to there over. So if it got stolen or the place burnt down ect it would be covered as I'm no longer covered on it till I pick it back up.
They've said yes it is ect but just checking as I may just insure it any way so I can sleep

it may only be insured 3rd party if they are driving it on trade plates? i would insure it as there are some horror stories of people cars getting writting off whilst in for repair.
also if its modified their insurance may not cover it at all! or only as a standard car.

No but it's half hour drive away and every one else lives with in 5 minutes there's NO way I could reasonably get lifts taxis ect I may as well insure both, plus I'm not the good company at that time of morning

I wouldn't be worrying about it at all.
Would your insurance even pay out if it was in the garages possession when it was crashed/stolen? Doubt it.

My feeling is yes they would, then they'd seek to recover costs from whoever was found to be liable.
I would think they'd get involved fairly easily as they can recover costs while also adding on legal backhanders and policy loadings which would more than cover their exposure to fund the claim in the first place.
Not like they're going to say 'oh we're not interested now because it wasn't in your possession, sort it yourself'.
There's actually a business case for them to pay you out and bum everyone in the surrounding area in the process.
