There is a lane that goes up the rear of the houses up a hill, there is a lane there which is tarmaced about 1.9m wide but then there is some 20mm chippings down the one side which widens it about 40cm but it is about 10cm below the tarmac level, the other side is some railings and it is uphill so i'm wondering if i will get it up there,

I know you can get a normal transit swb up there, but ideally i want to get some sort of flatbed/transit tipper up there, are the tippers wider with double wheels at the back? i don't know whether to risk hiring a tipper not being able to get it up there. I have to shift several tonnes of hardcore/blocks so don't really want to move it all up there by barrow. Heres a pic:

tipper is coming up as Overall Width of Vehicle (without mirrors): 2134mm
and transit is coming up as
Overall Width of Vehicle: 1974mm

Measure it properly? May be worth finding out the wheelbase also as it looks at the bottom right of the pic its quite thin...

i think im going to just go for it. looking into an iveco 3.5t dropside, seems like they are only about 1.9m wide (excl mirrors) just hoping i dont get stuck in the rutt

Wouldn't worry about the rutches a tipper will get up there easily providing its wide enough. Measure the thinnest part railing to railing and tommorow at work il measure the widest part of a tipper, which is gonna be the body. - you don't need to worry about the mirrors as they will be higher than the railings
Pretty certain Youl be alright though.

Get a plank of wood on the rut so it doesnt sink in and you will be fine.

I'd also say a loaded Transit will get stuck halfway up.

Do you have a run up ? If I have weight on mine I have to build enough momentum to take me up . If its a standing start on incline and are fully loaded there's no chance of getting up providing its as steep as it looks on the pic

Pictures can deceiving but that looks pretty steep and narrow, culvert at the bottom should be exciting too!

culvert isn't a problem, as i can avoid it. i thought about placing some concrete blocks in the in the rut save it spinning on the chippings

The transit tipper I use for work always has a full water tank on the back and with the compressor wieghs in at 3420kg so just under and never has any problems at all. I say it would piss that just take your time

update: flew up on the first go, but then it was lashing it down so on the second run i had a bit more weight on and it got stuck in the rut, had to wedge blocks underneath to get it out, so on the 3rd run i did this so problem solved i flew up and down then:
