Ive bought a cycle mount and its in Ashford where i work but they have said its against company policy to allow collections.

Postage is via 5-7 day courier FFS!

Is this allowed?

Ive said to them is doesn't say its not allowed anywhere in the auction so pretty much fuck off!

Probably drop shipping so they don't actually have the item for you to collect, it'll be sent direct from their supplier. That's assuming it's new of course.

I had this, well sort of,

I wanted to buy an item, I won it,
I could collect but only after I had paid via PayPal would he tell me his address?
I explained to him doing it like this I could rip him off, steal his money And his item.
I never did get the item

But theres no option to pick up for free on their listings, so why would they? Businesses with a warehouse or shipping direct from the factory are different to some bloke having a clearout. Most things i looked at for sale had free shipping too

When I was selling on eBay I didn't want anyone to turn up at mine.

If he's said no, buy from someone else.. it's not hard.

Isn't drop shipping not allowed on ebay? I'm sure you have to have the item in your possession to list it

You also have to remember these companies that deal mail order only are not covered for punters turning up with insurance.

It's listed no pickup so why leave neg feedback? That's just being a nob.

As a few people have said, seems the norm now for some companies not to allow pickup. Certainly something I've come across quite a bit.

yeah happened to me apparently theres a guy 3 minutes from me doing pressed euro metal plates, i asked to pick up so i can fit them before a meet answer was no will be posted no collections etc.. as others said from an agent in china most likely
