Possibly bidding on a car just trying to work out collection prices.

SG19 2UB to LS14 2AQ. 144 miles. Car is drive able but must be trailered.

Any ideas?? Been looking into hiring a van and trailer for day to work out prices to go get it also.

Hiring a van And trailer would be cheaper I'd have thought a company would charge around 150/200???

bloke i work with uses shipley and it costs him between 150-250 depending on how far away the car is.

Yeah they just give you quotes. Don't go for first one as they basically bid against each other. Bare in mind there are other fees they add on.

Also if you can get the person giving you the quote to ring you. They may give it cheaper as the deposit you pay to Shipley doesn't go to the transporter so they can discount it by going direct. But don't put that on the response bit.

yep that's what he does. he always deals with the same guy now privately, so doesn't have to pay fee's and trusts him.

Finishes on Monday Ian, its only a Clio so should be ok that?

I need to see what comes in down that over the weekend as well. Got a drop in Fleet but there's not enough money in that to make your return trip cheaper.
