I had skates in the mid 80's, nearly bought some blades in the mid 90's after going to America, then realised it would be like wearing a Hawaiian shirt in Skegness.

I bought blades when on holiday in LA. came home and me and some mates started our own roller hockey team. We were pretty good too. Them were the days!

I was in the era in which only the retarded kids used the quad ones 
I had some Roche(?) blades, were black with a red inside bit that's all I can remember - pretty cool though.
Skateboarding was where it was at though

I had some similar Bauer skates, also went around with the tongue curled down like your photo. Saw an old picture of me wearing them and good god did I look awful 
At the time though they were ace 
Used to head to the roller skating warehouse type place where MK Dons stadium is now I think. Memories!

Yeah rollers was in Denbigh. Which is now the stadium site.
