used to have a spot weld drill, like a hole saw only with a sprung loaded pin in the centre and about 8mm diameter.

There are specific drill bits for the job, but a good metal drill bit will do the job just as well

Inbox me mobile number and ill send pic of the one I've got. Far far better than the sprung centered spotweld drills + neater. Took my roof + A pillar panels off in about an hour and a half. Not dear either.
