WTF all you can eat buffet is the pinnacle of what is good? The one in Liverpool is OK but I'd not be going there unless all the others were shut.

Would it not be safer to take sandwiches and remain in the armoured car?

Albert Square Chop House is good for English food, fairly pricey though.
Plenty of Nandos, Frankie & Bennys etc if you prefer chains.

Red hot buffet world is great if you're hungry and you've got a lot of choice but i wouldn't say the food was good
For good food look at Gaucho, Rosso Cafe Istanbul, Wings....
Do a search though as there a few threads on here asking the same.

Went to The Grill on New York Street last night, was excellent. The Grill on the alley is also excellent, same food, bit of a different setting with a pianist n stuff Wagyu steak is top notch if you don't mind spending.

where did he say good? he asked for recommendations.
i've been in there and dined and liked the food. the fact it was cooked in front of you was also a positive, rather than being cooked out back whilst bogeys are wiped on your meat.

Nothing to do with being posh.
Suppose the food is OK. The one in Liverpool gets very busy and you have to queue and dodge people. I just don't really get it.
But yeah if you're not worried whether a recommendation is based on it being good
