Anyone ever made cider? Having attended local beer festival at the weekend, its made me really want to give it a go.

Preferably perry, as that tasted amazing from the festival.

Any pointers?

My mate some cider for his party the other week, tasted gorgeous, was supposedly 5%, but definitely didn't see it, think he just used a pack for it.

Found a few recipes earlier, sounded simple, but loads of technical jargon from the geeks which I have no idea about lol

I imagine it to be like cleaning a car, you could go all Kyle T on it and brew it with specialist products name dropping brands all over the place in your microfibre underpants OR you could just buy a kit for your first attempt and make it nearly just as good.

Dan, whats the process you followed? What equipment?

From what I have read, pear is exactly the same process, just swapping apples for pears obviously.
