Same as my mate, he has comp SDP on his traders, he's not declared as part of mine as it would be completely redundant, but they're making out like he'd need to be?

to take this a stage further what about driving when not on a public road, ie a track.

last month i drove round Rockingham for the best art of three hours or more covering more than 200miles

a small drop in the ocean perhaps but never the less this is mileage on the car where i am not insured and therefore not covered by the insurance policy thus not relevant miles??

i dont trackday very often, and even less so an open pit lane, but for those who do in their daily drive/road legal car they must easily be putting 1000-2000 or more miles a year on....

80 Laps in 3hrs thats good going!!

Yup same as for me, always do inital quotes as J Bloggs, don't put the reg number in use make and model of car and don't use my exact address. Fiddle with it till it's good then do the same with my quote.

I always feel they are trying to catch me out.

I always do this. drops.the price by hundreds which is ridiculous.

When I got a greenlight quote, the guy said that it wouldn't make the price any cheaper with them as named drivers, but they are aware that it works for lots of other insurance companiee.

My mum and dad make mine dearer. Putting my missus on mine and vice versa on her policy is cheaper than parents.

I tried putting my dad as a named driver but it made pretty much no difference on the price.

Well looks like I've been lucky.

Quidco is in my name but dad needed insurance and Aviva were doing cashback. Looks like I'm getting £70 even though the policy is in dads name.

Does mean he essentially got 120d insurance for £170 fully comp
