Hi,

Looking at a long weekend beach holiday in Europe, somewhere hot.

I'd like it to be on the Med ideally. I wanted to go to Sicily or Sardinia initially, but there are hardly any flights and the flight times were rubbish, which would use up some of the 4 days we plan to go for.

Any other suggestions? The problem is we don't want to go somewhere too built up and touristy like Benidorm, but the less busy places hardly have any flights each day....

Not bothered about nightlife or anything, but would like some nice restaurants and maybe some activities (even just watersports, or nice walks etc).

Don't really have a budget, but I guess it would be good to spend about £500pp including flights.

Thanks,
James

Don't get me wrong, I'll happily spend less, but we are looking in the summer holidays (possibly even August BH weekend), which puts the prices up.

Not quite a beach holiday, considered Monaco? Best short stay I've done.

I wouldn't consider the US for 4days even though Florida is the best place in the world

Any been to Majorca/Mallorca?

It ticks all the boxes but I'm concerned it might be a bit too touristy?

Only the vast majority of the UK

You'd be better with somewhere like Palma if you're going there, probably the nicest place in Majorca for walks etc...

port d'andratx was nice, have to drive ten mins down the road for the beach though as its a marina
unless you get a boat, which is the best way as you can get to the empty beaches just along the coast

We ended up booking 4 nights in Playa De Muro in Majorca.

Staying here:

http://www.hotels.com/ho216209/be-live-grand-palace-de-muro-muro-spain/

The resort looks great, lovely beach with watersports etc and a short drive from the town/port of Alcudia.
