Why are you going to carry on using your rear tiny speakers??

Most people just unplug them and wire it to the orig wires, easier that way.

Just for info, I fitted my changer cable down under the sills, bot carpet, but down the middle is meant t be better.

boschmann, why? 450w, realistically it will push out about 80w when amplified.

In the boot you can clip off some parts of the trim panels, take them off, and look up there and u should see the wires.

Have to agree mate, they arent all that good a speaker. Always look for the rms figure when checking power ratings- probably will be around 100w

So a 450 W set of 6x9's is going to sound like it?
It goes on whats amplifing it. My 12" in my 214 was 300W being powered by a 120W amp. then i got the 600W kenny one and it sounded like it was going to make your head explode
Wiring for 6x9's will be sufficient using the standard wiring. People spend loads on wires for their speakers when in fact 100's of independant studies have proved that no one can tell the difference under 2000W.
I'm not a keen fan of rear speakers. SQ+ won't put rear speakers in cars unless their installing 5.1 surround. And they've been in the ICE business for a long time and serious know their stuff.

Forgot to mention - if you're going for 6x9's, do it properly and put in small caps before the wiring.

I'll dig out the part number from maplins, but if you're going to run amp'd 6x9's, run a small cap with them. You'll be certainly suprised. One of my mates (pro ice installer) told me about it. I thought he was pulling my leg, so i tried it. And wow . The only was i can describe it is as a more punchy feel to the speaker.
