Hi all,
Our tele has about had, keep losing the picture and it freezes and all sorts (10 year old!)
Been looking around tonight for a replacement but kinda overwhelmed with choice and specs. Wanted to ask CS what they would recommend and any personal experience would be ideal!
Spec I think we want is;
Circa 40"
200+Hz (a friend reckons this is overkill)
1080p HD
Smart tele
Duel core processor I think (Anybody with single core? What's it like streaming movies etc off internet, always buffering or ok?)
Anyone have a tele of similar spec? How is it? Make and model?
Help please

 that we've got to a point that people are specifying they need a dual core processor in their TV.

Yeah I laughed at the salesman in Currys when he said tv's have them now!!! Don't think he really appreciated it :/ But he explained why and it made sense

I bet a salesman in the shop had a good pitch for needing a dual core processor, considering he'll have absolutely no idea about it.
I would substitute dual core processor in your list for doing a bit of research on the TV before buying.

We've been over this before in here, and unfortunately there's not a set standard for image refresh rate, so each manufacturer will measure it differently.
Either way, the refresh rate isn't as interesting as the method the TV uses to make 24 frames per second fit in 200 refreshes per second, which unfortunately isn't something the manufacturers provide info on.
In other words, completely ignore the refresh rate, as listed by the manufacturer. It tells you nothing useful.

You need at least a quad core tbh or it will be like watching snooker in black and white imo.
