Was going to paint the bonnet and bumper only, but seen as the rest of the car is mint, there was a tiny dent on the passenger quarter, and 2 on the roof. So though I may as well do it.

In the booth ready.

Fresh out from paint

Fit up.

Bit of sun on it

And a few tonight after fitting plate and tow eye.

Left to do:
Paint roof tommorow
Fit roof up
Fit passenger arch trim (waiting on clips)
Fit SRi badge to passenger door (waiting on that too)
MOT
Vic check

P.s I know the front plate isn't central, it's only temp for MOT

Are any of the front SRi bumpers different? I see some Corsa C's and then others it looks more rounded?

Or is it the SRi bumper is different to SXi?

Why wasn't the roof painted at the same time?

Cheers guys. Bumpers are all the same deano, just lower grilles are different.

Tom, painter said it would be easier to do it seperate? Save leaning over the passenger side which was painted same time?

Can understand why he hasent done the roof but I would of just got a bench in there to stand on.

Saves costs for you aswell with booth time.

Still looks good. Gona sell this or going to your missus?

At my work my boss would want the car all done, bonnet, bumper, mouldings and another bumper in if he could in one booth.

It's due to the fact the painter couldn't be arsed to get a bench to stand on to do the roof while painting the front and sides all in one go instead of doing the roof another time

You don't even need a box to stand on its not high unless he's small. Just don't see the need not to do it all at once. Horses for courses and all that though. And yeah double booth time. I'd slap my guys silly for that

Haha. Doesn't make a difference to me aslong as its mint!

Would have been other door, quarter boot and rear bumper to do it all. Didn't need it so pointless really.

I want to colour code the plastics eventually.

Graeme, have full intensions of keeping it, me and the mrs share it when we get a house shortly, although she wants me to sell it and put some money to and get something like a diesel a3/golf for us both. Will run it for a few month anyway first before I decide.

Why not just paint the roof first? Then paint the rest?

I am not familiar with how to paint a car correctly so I may be missing something...

Went for MOT today, passed with 3 advisories, rear tyre low, bottom arm bush starting to perish, exhaust centre box starting to blow.

MOT guy asked why I had it tested when it was still tested untill Dec. Explained it was cat c and had to be redone, he said bloody hell wouldn't even know it was damaged
