yeah i wouldnt of bothered, if i known they would have taken so long to fit and coz of the problems.
when i put mine on, the spacing between the brack and accelerator was about 0.5cm. this was terable as i kept hiting the brake and accelerator together. in the end i got so anoyed with it, i cut part of the accelerator to increase the gap to about 4 cm. this is alot better but with very bulky shoes, it is still arkward. it has been know that people get there feet stuck between these pedals, and cant stop then.
if u really want new pedals, pvd sell ones that are custom fit for the corsa but they cost like £50

My feet slide of the pedals also, i sanded my brake pedal with a leccy sander and after a while i gave up the pedal is slightly of centre but it works Lee

ive got sparco aftermarket chrome pedals on mine, took me ages to fit them! the grip on the standard pedals was rediculous so i had to get new ones, the grip on the sparco ones are pretty good even when wet! when i had my last mot they told me that the gap between my brake and accelerater was too small but i just said you must have big feet lol n he just laughed and let me off lol!
