hi im currently building a 2.0 tigra and have been told to use an EPS, i currently have a hydraulic rack installed which i was panning to run with the engine, i would like to hear your opinion on what would work/handle best

The reason why people say use the EPS system is because it's a quicker rack from lock to lock. I'm using the EPS rack in my build but removing the motor to make it manual

Thanks jay so in term of Feel its pretty much the same just you are able to "turn Quicker" with and EPS unit?

So your swapping your steering column for a manual one? As the motors not in the rack.
Some people fit te hydraulic pump from a 106/saxo,
Or swap to epas, it's not what's best, it's what you prefer.

yes gazza if i was to go to electric i would have to change the column

i had power steering in mine then changed it to a Non power steering after a while and i prefered that
got the manual rack from a 96 Corsa i think... felt the corners better and feels like you have more control
of the car

Both power steering racks are equal in terms of 'speed', it's only the manual rack that's slower.
