Was gonna say the Perseids have been about for a few days now, but peaking tonight, Skys arent too bad here, and the missus is getting stoned downstairs with her mate so I might see if I can get some decent photos

As far as I'm aware she just gives her mate a foot massage. I don't want to see things like that

Why did you not post this earlier? Just got back to the hotel room, not going back out.
Would've been perfect to lay on the beach and see it :-(

Actually, its not them thats moving, its the fact that earth is crashing into them at 16,000mph.
Robbo, saw the ISS too With a meteor literally a minute after.
What im interested in, is how all satalites and the ISS misses them all, bearing in mind they burn up in our atmosphere.
Must be a nerving time being up there

Seen bloody tonnes of satellites, including the ISS which was crazily bright.
Saw loads of shooting stars too, some were the best I've ever seen. So bright with massive trails. Absolutely awesome. Was only lying outside for 30mins tops.

Some must get battered about a bit surely. Weird to think there's some geezers up there looking at the planet.

It was my birthday yesterday and I had a few drinks so unfortunately I wasn't able to travel to a better location with more interesting scenery and less light pollution, but I went into my garden and caught a few meteors anyway...

Nice. How much of that is an actual photo? And how much is shopped in?
Very impressive either way
