Turns out that if your VPN connection drops, while trying to save an InDesign document to a remote server, the whole thing goes tits up and you're left with a broken file.

So much for a days work...

Bad times.

On another note i've got a massive itch for a new/second car. I've always been a massive fan of the E30 3 series and one pulled into the motorway services yesterday and it looked epic! Now found myself trawling Ebay etc for them.

Looks just like this...



But with BBS splits on it.

No offence but you should be saving locally (versoning ideally and to multiple locations) and then uploading to the remote site; seen this far too many times

Iirc Adobe does do it's own versioning of files every few minutes, so you might be able to recover it from those.

No offence taken.

I do versioning, hence only losing a days work...

And I generally don't work over the VPN as I'm mostly at the office.

InDesign crashed when the VPN failed, so the temp file it usually makes turned up corrupted as well.

Oh well, all redone now anyway.
