It'll end up being someone's lunchbox.
Worst Friday afternoon ever being stuck in that.

Yep, i'd be windmilling the shit out of everyone.
On a positive note, people going into kent won't need to pay the £2 toll charge as they keep the barriers open to clear the traffic.
Still not worth spending your friday evening in a car for and where do you piss/shit?

May well be, can't expect them not to do what they're doing though.. Can't just go with "it's probably safe, let people chance it"

Sure they could speed things up. Last year on the m6 toll by me was closed for hours and caused so much trouble for nothing. I know it could of been but they found out in a few mins it was nothing but still closed for ages. From the pictures why the fuck would you leave a bomb where he has. If its serious u would drive in tunne/over the bridge and be done

Deffo something weird. News is quite quiet on the subject.
Twitter is saying Police activity at Dover and Dartford linked. One tweet claiming bomb headed for Channel Tunnel

Missus parents arrived at half 8. Got held up for 4 hours
Very suspicious. They said they heard gunshots but theres no reports of that. Definitely sent bomb disposal in though.

Nothing to report, just a bunch of people jumping on the "Terrorists" bandwagon again costing this country more wasted money.

More than likely. There was either intelligence or a suspicion that this 'package' was a bomb of some sort.
Better to be safe than sorry. The police are just doing their job.
Blame the cunt acting like a looney near the bridge/tunnel, not the guys having to calm angry motorists.

Speaking of terrorists, intelligence and all out muzzy nutters, I've just watched this documentary on YouTube of the plot to down a number of transatlantic planes in 2006.
A very interesting watch IMO
