Its not a redtop turbo. Its a c20let. Can be put into any shell if you have the skills and tools.

How much money are you talking to get a c20let engine into a corsa b? Can the engines be got cheap enough? Different mounts etc needed?

Also, is the saab 2.3 turbo engine worth looking into?

The engine alone will be 1000. Then you have mounts. Strengthening kits, fuel pump, shafts, cvs, hubs... The list goes on! Unless you want to do a bodge job then you'll cut price down. But nothing worse than a shit looking let bay.

And no don't think about the 2.3 Saab. It's the b204 or b204r engine from Saab people use.

8valve shells are supposedly easiest but are more likely to be filled with rust. If you can get a decent shell sorting the right mounts and wiring should be fairly straight forward especially with help on here.

Cost me similar for the XE, I wouldn't try and do it on the cheap. I did that on sensors etc and it just came back and bit me in the arse.

If you can budget in a rebuild as well then that would be worth doing seeing as most have never been touched although having a "rebuild 10k ago"

Buy one already done to
A high standard.

Otherwise budget 2k+ without the price of getting a good shell, then have it strengthened
