Looking to buy the above in the sales. Budget say £250 as I don't want to go nuts. It's only really to record the baby growing up and some holidays etc.

Anyone bought one recently? Anyone recommend a certain brand/model?

I would suggest a GoPro personally.
The quality is amazing, it'll come with waterproof cases so you can take swimming / splash around etc

It'll pack away into a really small case too.

You can pick them up for 2nd hand for less than that, so you could treat yourself to a battery pack addon as well

Was going to suggest a gopro aswell tbh
I've only just got one and I'm made up with it. The quality is brilliant. And the size is amasing

Really easy to use and the mounts/clips you can get means you can attach it to literally anything.

I've got the hero 3+ which is the wifi I can control and love stream with my phone. Think that's a really good idea.
It also records in 4k....

Bit over budget as a new one is about £350 ish
But as Bart said a second hand one or even a new hero 3 is around your price range

I can sell you our Panasonic for cheap. We've only used it once or twice. Realised that I just use my phone for everything. Can't remember the model number, but its full HD, records onto a memory card etc...

The Go Pro looks a bit awkward in your hand I think. I need one that's easy to hold that the Mrs can also use.
