got a tom tom 3rd ed

was wondering if there was a way to get free updates on it. as im not paying £39.95 for a update on it!

Have a on GPSUnderground (need to register) forums; plenty of info on updating and activating Tomtom (as well as other GPS systems) maps

Edit - Obviously make a backup before you do anything and triple check which map(s) are compatible with your device/navcore version (there are charts floating around on GPSUnderground) before downloading, uploading and installing/activating.
