My sister just told me that her 2009 1.2 corsa cut out the other day while driving. She said she was on a bypass doing close to 70mph and the car completely cut out which affected the power steering aswell. She pulled over and it restarted with no issues. Does anyone know what would cause this to happen? That was the first time it happened and the car was serviced about 3 months ago if thats worth anything.

If its not a recurring issue I wouldn't even waste time looking. Could be loads of diff things though. Ignition system, sensors..

If it was my sister i'd want it diagnosed and sorted out as losing power steering and servo assistance on her brakes at 70mph is not something i'd want her to experience.
Get it plugged in to see if any faults are stored.

as said above, get it plugged in.
also check the inlet hose, silly one but my astra used to cut out at awful times, the inlet hose split and was sucking hot air in which made it cut out
