There was a real sense of frustration at the Emirates tonight. Just not enough urgency or pace, and Giroud was far too wasteful. Szczesny's save was magnificent though.

We were pretty good defensively. Vidic threw himself in the way of everything, Cleverly put himself about too seemed to disrupt and intercept the ball a few times. But we had next to nothing when it came to going forward. Apart from the couple of RVP chances.

Well that was shit, no chance Arsenal win the league playing like that either
Thankfully the league isn't decided on tonight's game.
It will be decided on games exactly like tonight and playing cautious when united are there for the taking is exactly why
or perhaps you have to edge yourselves back into it after taking a hammering before going on a run against the lesser teams... exactly why we have been top for 90% of the season assclown

prettyt much that. rafael (thug cunt) going off for rio saved you i think as they (rio/vidic) were pretty solid. RVP would have put my house on him scoring in the first minute.
we didnt do soooo bad when you think we are coming off the back off a pasting at the weekend. straight after city game, we drew 0-0 with chelsea too then went ona run so finger corssed we do it again as next 3 games are sunderland h, stoke a and swansea h. pick up 7+ points and we'll still be int he mix going into our FOURTH run of absurd fixtures ( )

Easing back in after taking a hammering isn't league winning mentality either. Look at when united got beat in the past, always a reaction.

Bit of a spanner in the works now. On the one hand I wanted Arsenal to win last night to keep City and Liverpool at bay. On the other hand I wanted us to get something from the game to get in to Europe.
Hopefully this is a game out of the way for Arsenal (and ourselves) and either them or Chelsea can still win the league.

Rio looked surprisingly solid. Also forgot how composed he is on the ball. Wouldn't be able to cut it against a fast attacking team like Chelsea or Liverpool though

When you say Europe do you mean Champions League or Europa?
If we're going to miss out on CL we'd be best off not being in the Europa. One less distraction.

The Europa curse, only one team have ever got back into CL the following season after being in Europa

Ideally CL, but there is no way we are going to make 4th. The team is capable of competing in europe and going for the league, the only issue is the Thursday nights (channel 5) which will affect the league.

we are missing Ramsey and Walcott so much its ridic. Its whats making Ozil look ordinary at times (though he was much much better last night)

Spurs & Liverpool are playing well enough at the moment that even if we were to start picking up points it won't make a difference to our league position

Thats the thing, we are now relying on other teams slipping up which is not good enough.

I wanted Gnabry to come on last night, he's not afraid to have a pop and he has nothing to lose. Cazorla was the only one who seemed up for it.

Yep, that annoyed me more that he wasn't even an option. Yet we had Sanogo on the bench who obviously wasn't going to get a sniff against United.
