What do you guys use on your wheels? Mine are painted and I'm looking for a product(s) to not only make the paint on them shiny, but also to protect them a lot.

Thanks

Polish (autoglym srp) them for shine, poorboys for sealant. That's my routine anyway.

Platinum wheels by carbon collective is brilliant f you want something you can just apply and forget about. Won't need to touch your wheels for up to 2 years.
And 99.9% of brake dust and road grime will come off with just the pressure washer without any wheel cleaner.

I used Autoglym spray on stuff, can't comment on shine as I'm no expert but certainly made cleaning easy

Are you refurbing the wheels again and wanting to protect from new, or are you looking to seal your wheels from now?

If they're 'used' then I'd suggest using Iron X and claying the wheels, then wipe down with IPA.

If freshly refurbed, then just wipe down with IPA. This is an important stage as it degreases the surface properly - can pick up a small-ish quantity on eBay cheap enough. Mix it 1:2 or 1:3 with water too

Iron x is good to clean them properly before waxing. Seems about the only stuff that really shifts the stuck on cack.

Hi Rich, not being done again. Car has sat for quite a while since tom last painted and they could do with a proper clean and protection.

What's IPA? Any particular clay you'd recommend? I have bilt hamber clay here.

Poorboys is awful on dark coloured wheels. Really hated using it on mine.

I prefer using G Techiq C5 now.
