I bet clarkson loves this anyway. He obviously enjoys winding up the PC brigade offended by everything lot. Just helps him sell books and DVDs. The BBC won't sack him. Top gear pretty much the only program worth watching on BBC and without him it wouldn't be the same. It's only probably surfaced to distract people from the latest famous peodophile or mp scamming expenses.

I realise this is all sorted now, but if they did sack him, I doubt the James and Richard would carry on doing it without him there, out of protest. It's not like they need Top Gear anymore, they're all set for life no matter waht, they all do other things, they've all got massive bank accounts already, and they'll get hired on other tv networks instantly.

BBC would be incredibly dumb to have sacked him, or indeed sack him in the future.

That's fucking ridiculous, he was obviously close to retirement anyway, so probably hasn't lost too much from it though

It gets me angry that even the bbc use [n-word]. What state are we in when you can't even use the word in description of how it was offensive.

It's only a word ffs. And folk are only offended by it because they are taught they should be.

I heard a song on mtv the other day, Jay z - suit and tie. The word nigger must have been used at least 10 times.

Just to add....

It's weird how the word can be used freely on some radio stations, whilst others will result in the DJ being sacked and sites refusing to even write out the word

Just about to whack on a 50 Cent album

The BBC obviously aren't going to use it though, just like they wouldn't use cunt, fuck etc if a newsreader accidentally said a word like that.

Those are definitely offensive (altough they shouldn't be) there is no ambiguity about usage there.

The guy from the radio didn't say it, he innocently played a song from a century ago that happened to contain the word.

If they are, rightly are wrongly, going to discipline someone for playing a song with an offensive word they are hardly going to repeat that word in the article though.

It was on mtv base iirc, past 9pm and he said nigger multiple times.

It wasn't the original either.

Kanye West - Stronger, bothers me when he says "you can be my black Kate Moss tonight". Can just see how it'd go down if some white singer said "you can be my white Beyonce tonight"
