Hi.
Where have members had the best luck selling cars?
Owners forum,
Facebook,
Ebay,
Autotrader?.

Im half tempted to p/x my car with a dealership just as waiting for a buyer is a complete ballache.

sold majority of my previous cars / daily hacks through gumtree. you do have timewasters but I have not had many! last 2 cars first to view bought there and then on the spot with minimal haggling on the price.

Gumtree and Facebook groups seem to be the best at the moment.. IMHO Piston heads is the place people go to look for something REALLY special and eBay.. well eBay is just full of moronic-dreaming-c**t's who'll text you at 3 in the morning asking if the car is still for sale and then try and offer you some old shitter as a PX.

Gumtree and Local Paper - had no luck or no interest at all on Auto Trader or Pistonheads. Did sell the Disco3 and a Golf GT-TDi through Ebay Classifieds.

I found Pistonheads to be young lads wanting to come and drive my car with no proof of insurance or evidence of money. They were turned away.

I sold my Golf to the highest bidder on eBay and i've sold a few Corsa's on Gumtree since. One of which need a complete new engine.

Personally, i spend a lot of time on eBay looking for cars as well as local garages. If i'm after something a bit newer, i look at main dealers.

It's too expensive then, cars like yours go within 24 hours if priced appropriately.

A friend of mine couldn't shift his 06 plate VXR with 51k on it, mint condition, FSH etc and it was priced lower than most and he couldn't shift it. Had it up for sale since start of the year and has only recently managed to get it sold. Think it was up for £6k.

Normally folk looking at the ad on there mobile phone that does that. Does my head in too. Ask where you are and loads of questions which could be answered just by reading the advert.

The 1.3 cdti needed a new engine

I had the 1.8 up for sale for a while. It's coming home soon once my drive is extended
