Saw this mentioned on Twitter a few weeks back; it's a brilliant idea but i think there's potentially a few flaws in the design like the use of LED markings within direct sunlight and the surface which isn't smooth like tarmac so could cause excess road-noise as well as being a difficult surface for cyclists.
It's certainly the sort of idea we need to be aiming for though.
