Cars failed mot on emissions, purchased a new lambda sensor to replace old one but no EML showing to say old one is knackered. Could it still be dodgy for emissions to fail as had new cat fitted last year and CTS is sound.

What car? My old X16XE failed on emissions and a O2 sensor fixed.

Got a x16xe mate, so your saying a new 02 sensor sorted ya problems then, just fitted tha new un.
