He may have just missed the mention of what turbo it's got - but 360bhp is a bit optimistic on a VF35, not impossible though on Meth.

Strength-wise though, they just don't like north of ~340bhp (or more to the point, the typical torque you get at that level).
They're dead easy to get to 320-330bhp like what most STI's get with a remap, probably less than 500quid of second hand STI parts and a remap... but then you're stuck without a 2k gearbox.
That's not to say the 6speeds are bullet proof, eh Barnshaw but they're much better placed if you do end up slowly creeping on the mods and upping the power.
The 5 speed feels like its laboured in 3rd at 30 The ratios do feel a bawhair too long, but not something that would bother you in the slightest if you hadn't lived with the 6 speed for so long.

Hmmmm not so sure about that. I'm running circa 350bhp (engine) on a VF28 @ 1.4bar so doesn't sound too unrealistic on pump fuel.

Most of their cars come off ebay and gumtree. I've been learning more and more about them recently and certainly wouldn't make a purchase from them now. For example they've got a lightning red blob in at the mo for £6.5k. They bought it for £3750 from the seller. What the advert doesn't say is that it has unrecorded crash damage and has had an engine change, amongst other things. Original seller said stay away.
Had another rethink and I'm going to withdraw from the game now, not bothering. Probs just gonna get a classic STI again as a toy.

Not unbelievable, vf28 and vf35 are almost the same too end. Vf35 is just faster spooling (I think) and generally newer, so more chance of it being in better condition.
Vf35 normally runs out of puff 340-350 but there always exceptions (one at 370 on pump fuel raised eyebrows on Snet last year) but typically they're more comfortable above 350 running Meth.
Not impossible, its just something I'd verify if buying that car!

To see that particular car? I've got all the messages etc still if you want to see
I saw another STI for sale on gumtree, £5.5k, completely dog shit advert. Ended up in their place for £8.5k with some amazing advert making it sound awesome. I see it sells, then 6 weeks later I see it up on swapz. Message the guy being honest saying I'm not interested, but curious what happened. Gearbox and brakes completely fucked and Cheshire Performance not interested, wouldn't even return his calls so he's given up on it and moving it on
