I have shortened rear dampers on my B, lowered 40mm and one is leaking.
I'm skint just now and was looking just to get the car through the MOT for now. I will be buying new suspension later in the year.
I don't want standard dampers as its a PITA when jacking it up to the moonbeams.
Somebody told me that standard Classic Mini rear dampers are shorter and will fit a B. Has anyone else done this?

No reason why not if they have the same mountings, diameter and bump/rebound characteristics.
Not something to just lash on and assume they're correct though, I would guess there's a difference in weight between the two which may be a factor.

Yes I was worried about that. A B is a lot heavier than a little Mini. I'm just going to go for the full PI kit, comes in at 180. Not much point in spending any more for a 1l.
