I breifly did 62mph on a b road once. Held it for about 5seconds. (Felt like 25-30seconds though). Was pretty mental and could feel it was more risky so left off the throttle just a tiny amount and managed to drop 3mph and return to normalness. Have had troubling sleeping after that and get worried someone saw me. It was 4yrs ago now so think I got away with it.

Since I crashed I'm the same, find myself doing the speed limit that's set by default as it's generally the suitable speed to be doing in that area.

Wasn't always like that though , rather take 5 mins extra than not get their at all.
