Anyone had any dealings with these guys?
I ordered my Xperia Z3 Compact on Saturday night knowing fully well stock was on a 2 day lead time. Monday morning I have to ring for security checks, so fair enough.
And I am still waiting for the phone. Account showing delivery expected 12th November, yesterday, and they are still awaiting for arrival of the handset, and generally speaking Black stock. They have White and Orange.
Everytime I message them on Twitter or call, they just say that stock is "due" the next day, but can't guarantee. I said someone must know if there are a load of phones on a van/lorry on their way to their warehouse, but alas, they don't.
If they weren't the cheapest on the market beating the network, getting £10 cashback from them and £30 from Quidco, I'd have gone elsewhere already
That, and they use Parcelforce for courier, which is ok, and they can't deliver to workplace

Part of CPW i believe.
Took out my last contract with them and everything was fine, watch out though they do included some kind of insurance into the deal which isnt obvious and you'll need to cancel, think i was hit with a 27 pound charge every 6 months

I believe Mobiles.co.uk is CPW, not Mobile Phones Direct.
Jokers have said they don't expect the Black phone until tomorrow now, so delivery Monday. I ordered last Saturday. Account still saying expected delivery 12th Nov as they just do not know and can't give me a date. Rather frustrating as they do know, but are afraid of us cancelling.
Website this morning said In Stock, but now says 8 Days for black

Interesting, Mobiles.co.uk have an O2 deal for £18/month but with 500MB. O2 500MB bolt on after I set up the contract is £6/month. Thats £24 and if I don't go over my allowance, I don't need to spend the dosh.

Do you really need more than 500mb data if you're not on 4g?

I struggle with 1gb and wouldn't say I use it that much
Imagine shit signal and the lack of wifi don't help though

I used them i August no problems, did not select the insurance so had no problem that way, there was a clear box to tick (it did say free for a month) when I ordered. Got my phone next day from ordering.

I got my phone through them. They were ok, although they had to contact me to do some check before they would send out the phone, which wasn't made clear when I ordered the phone.
It meant I was left without a phone for a week, which was a pain when I rely on it during work to cure my boredom. I work shifts so ordered when I knew i'd be in to receive the phone. In the end they delivered it to the council offices which meant a wild goose chase one afternoon trying to locate it.
Apart from that, they're ok.

I go through a couple of GB a month by listening to talk sport a few hours a day, more than that at home as my home internet is 2mb, and 3G is 7 or so, my nexus 4 won't let me connect to WiFi!
Although that could just be because we're on WEP and the router is 6 years old

We've got maybe 2 neighbours on one side who could detect the router and a dual carriageway down an embankment on the otherside, so never worried about anyone hacking it. Have tried changing it to WPA but the router doesn't seem to like it, so gave up and left it as default
And its a new estate, so no decent internet on it. Think were nearly 2km from the exchange

2km is pretty close.
I'm much further away and get 4meg, also a new estate. Bit of a joke they aren't forced to lay fibre tbh.

You'd expect them to sort fibre on new estates while they are being built instead of having to dig it all up once it's done wouldn't you. The first company to advertise decent speeds around here will make a killing. Some massive houses, lots of rich folk, I'm sure theres quite a.lot who work from home who'd like faster internetz
Exchange serves 7,300 odd residents apparently and a few non-residential

So apparently they got stock on Friday and it is all booked in.
They have assured me delivery Monday, and I will get despatch emails etc over the weekend. Nothing as of yet.
I have a feeling this company is completely under resourced and suffering from growing pains. Don't know whether they're coming or going.

Finally have my hands on it. What a revelation 4G is, and the EE network and actually having signal in the office.
Nice phone though. Smaller than the One S but bigger screen which is weird.
Waiting on number to port over so not actually used it as a phone yet

Finally!
Now be prepared for constant marketing emails telling you to buy a new phone when you've only just taken out a new contract. Bloody morons they are!
