Thinking of going with the missus maybe next year, I'm thinking kill 2 birds with one stone and do something exciting and possibly nipping to Vegas and getting hitched (feels like it'd be most painless way of doing something I don't want to spend cash on! )
I really know very little about the place, i'm thinking of 3 weeks, maybe some kind of road trip or at least seeing different parts of the place, i'm not bothered about theme parks. Can anyone advise including rough costs if they've done similar?

If you're thinking a road trip why not Route 66. Once you get to LA you can easily get to Vegas and get hitched.

Route66
West Coast
Both completely different, equally as tiring. Route 66 has longer drives with more to see while driving
West Coast has shorter drives aprt from a few in the middle but also plenty to do at each locations
I have done a few threads
If you do Route66 do Chicago to LA as its better to finish in LA

Did california last year over 2 weeks, was absolutely awesome.
Started in LA, down to San Diego then just worked our way back up the Coast, went over to Yosemite and back across and finished in San Francisco. Just pick a route, get a car and see where you end up.

Sounds good, what was costs roughly for whole trip?
Them 2 threads are class, but doubt I'll have that kind of budget!

Never really say down to work it all out, had every intention of doing but never did.
I reckon at least £5k though for everything between us, perhaps more. We weren't really counting the pennies and did spend more than we planned but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. pisses all over any other holiday I've had.
