Only applies to some insurance companies though, check they support it before going with them, you can get a decent discount with it

dunno if its the same thing. but i did advanced driving test and became a member of institute of advanced motorists when i passed test. its something good to be able to put on a cv etc but in real life not worth a toss. doesnt give me any discount on insurance but it always helps them to paint a better picture of u as they quote u. on the plus side tho its a good experience and its pretty cheap to do. mine cost me 75quid. that included all lessons i needed to pass test no matter if i needed 1/1000. all my books etc to read thro for test, test fee and i years membership to IAM.

I'm with CIS they accept pass plus - pass plus cost me £80 to do and saved me £330 on my insurance!

I't was WELL worth it and was quite fun bombing it around the midlands on the motorways.

2 hours motorway, 2 hours inner city, 2 hours night time I think but I didn't do nights - mainly motorways but the instructor still gave the certificate.
