thinking of gettin a personalised plate. But was wondering about being able to sell it easily in the future. Does anybody know what sort of commision the plate dealers charge and does anyone have any personal experience of how long it takes to sell etc.

finking of an FIL then 4 numbers plate. Spotted a couple around for 330- 350quid on some sites. Sites like www.newreg.co.uk and www.regtransfers.co.uk have exactly the same type of plates, with similarly random numbers (i.e. numbers don't resemble anything) for sale at twice that price. Just thought it mite be worht getin on of the cheap ones, then puttin it on the car, then selling it a few months down the line. Surely it can't be this easy though?

i got one of the dvla site. £400 inc transfer fee and VAT. Some sites i checked wanted £400 + VAT and transfer fee.
If your buying then i'd go to the dvla site.
dont know how much you'd make when u sell it tho.

I got given M3XED and have been offered £800-£900 but i doubt ill sell it.

If your wanting a "Vauxhall" plate that ull seel on after ur corsa get something liek this...

a plate like mine ie k100 rsa will set you back £350 all done, bloody bargain considering the looks it gets the car.

just get a plate that u can keep, not one thats going to go out of date or can only stay with that car
