Hey people, iv got a 1.4 8v 1995 b. I've fully stripped it and will be going polycarbonate windows ect, it's a no pas and abs model and sunroof, what sort of weight are people managing get to get these little cars down to? I'm led to believe these weigh 848 to start with a full tank. Anyone able to shed some light onto the situation would more than welcome to do so. Thanks lads ,let the debates begin!

848kg? No chance. I'm sure they're around 1000kg's standard.

The rear crash bar is only there for rear passenver safety. It's not structural. It's only to stop some guy rear ending you and completely wiping out the back end of your car.

how do you get the door bars out taylorboosh?? they bolt out or grind out? i have seen someone has cut the inner side of the door out, like the inner panel and then put what looks like a door seal on the sharp edges so looks tidy and isn't sharp, seems there is more than i thought that can be removed to save weight haha
