right this is really pissing me off.
i upgraded to this yosemite software, and the iPhoto app is no longer used, its called photos. fair enough. I've uploaded from my go pro some videos to the photos library, like i used to do with iPhoto, then deleted them from the memory card. i can't find them. they appear in the photos app, but there is no way to locate the original files. i want to edit them with either iMovie, or go pro software. can't drag and drop. can't do a show in finder, its greyed out.
they appear to be present, just not available to anything other than the photos app. and having deleted them from the card, are now completely useless?
can't seem to find a way around this.

After an hour of trying I made it work. Select get info on the video file in the photos app, then copy the file name into search on the desktop. It then brings up the file icon, drag that to the desktop to make a copy of it, then you can use it however you want
At least I'm not as angry as I was.

Its Apple saying fuck you to Microsoft for stealing loads of OSX features for Windows 10 by stealing back features from Windows 10 and Edge.

Think there's a pictures directory where all you're photos and stuff gets dumped. It's in you're ~/ directory.
