Old man, isolated from society, develops covert relationship with young girl and peeks in on her bedroom. Wouldn't get this sort of filth from Monty the Penguin:

I almost didn't want to watch it because I know I'll already hear enough about it on the internet.

That and the Coke truck.

This man speaks perfect sense. Who the hell watches adverts these days?

All about the recording and fast forwarding.

Out of interest, how much did the actual man on the moon cost by way of comparison, can't be far off.

Someone on my wall just shared it and said she was crying, do me a favour.

The Apollo space programme cost was given as $25.4 billion, around $150 billion (£93bn) in today’s money.

So... pretty far off.

1 million on the advert, 6 million on other forms of advertisement I thought.

I wonder how much it costs to put an advert on tv at prime time? I bet it's expensive so I can see the costs.

As much as they get a ton of exposure from everyone wanking themselves silly at an advert

Has anyone ever bought something from a John Lewis? I don't even know where our closest one is

Last year they were one of the top sellers through the Xmas period iirc, so can't be doing too bad.

They had a slot on the first lot of adverts during x factor. Must have cost an absolute fortune.

Good for electricals, they price match and offer their own guarantee, 5yr on tv's.

As Ben said they've been profitable for some time, quite a neat set up where the employees effectively own the company.
