Maybe i'm being a bit of a cunt but i never understood people buying houses on/near rivers or on floodplains and then complaining when they get flooded; it's as if common sense went out the window when they were buying

Yeah it's been pretty bad round where I live. Padiham, Whalley etc had the town centres underwater yesterday.

the majority of the parts of Carlisle that flooded aren't on a flood plain mate at all. 8 metres extra water in the river levels kinda meant it went well beyond any flood plains. So no, you're not being a cunt, you just don't understand the area which is fair.

York is pretty bad now too. Most of the city centre is flooded. Had to go on the bypass to get to the other side of town last night. 3500 homes evacuated.
