Hi,
I've got a corsa c `02 sxi 1.2 16v and I'm looking to buy a koni suspension kit but I've heard a few nightmere stories about how to fit the shocks. Is it true that the top of the strut needs cutting so you can take the old shock out and pop the koni one in, then you drill a hole in the bottom of the strut and bolt the shocker through that way?
sounds scary if thats the way it needs to be done
ANy help, tips or advice would be cool
Thanks
S

I'm here!
Yep the fronts are shock inserts and the old shock needs to be cut out. Yes it does sound scary lol But I got mine fitted by ABP Motorsport in Cheshire. They have the same kit fitted to their Civic Type-R demo car.
I was a bit worried when I found out you have to cut the suspension but:
The kit is very good.
Best way is to get it fitted by a garage that knows what they are doing for piece of mind.

Not sure. Best to ring up the supplier to find out.

unless ofcourse you buy new struts at 56 squids each, anyway after the first year shockers ain't covered by warranty
