Hey guys, looking to buy first car....

Want something pretty fast but cheap on insurance, was looking at 1.5 TD but dunno if theyre any cheaper on insurance or any faster than say a 1.4 SRI or 1.6 sport?

Also, can you fit a loud dump valve to a 1.5 TD? By the way, im 17.

oh yeah, allard have done a dump valve kit now for td's £228 plus vat inc fitting.

Loud as a turbo petrol? Can you adjust this? What about insurance, any cheaper?

dunno, best ask them adam. diesel dump valves sound diffferent, more like shot guns, plus they loose power.

I might go for a lighted spring and diphram in the actuator, get that stutter sound then, just turn the boost up to compensate

to be fair, you will sound like a fool with a vroom tish and the performance of a corsa diesel. its the equivalent of cheap, fake gold. everyone knows its fake and they laugh at you for wearing it.
