TB's aint gunna be worth it on a 1400.... or even a 1600 IMO..... take Patricks efforts... get a 2 litre lump, most cost effective way of big bhp gain for money... 1500 for the conversion... easy!

Yes it's been reshelled and I should be able to pick it up at the end of the week. It's now fully stripped out with 16-point weld in cage fitted, plate diff, close ratio box and a few other weight-saving mods. I need to get the engine re-mapped in the next couple of weeks, but it currently makes 214bhp and 146lb/ft of torque. I'm hoping to get this up to around 220bhp and 150lb/ft of torque when I fit some longer air horns later this year. The car will be at PV 2003 if anyone wants to come along and have a look

yer turboing a 1.6 is a 3k courtney bodge job

factory 1.6 turbo, near perfect engine

TBs vs 2.0 conversion - money wise its 2.0 all day, just for the shear fact that TBs cant produce the tourqe a 2.0 can

also SBD wont fit the TBs, they will only supply the kit
