after gettin it chipped does it knock off the dvd. and can you watch them without buyin the playback thing

i bought a chipped xbox for my car and it plays all dvds, copyed and proper ones(without playback kit-u use the controller instead) plays chipped and normal games2! plays almost anythink within reson!
